Buffalo Bills DE Mario Williams Suing Former Fiancee Over $785,000 Engagement Ring

The off-the-court and off-the-field drama that circulates around the sports world never seems to slow down.

Just last week, we received the news that Kobe Bryant was in a court battle with his mother in the hopes of preventing some of high school memorabilia from being auctioned off. Then of course, you have that whole Kordell Stewart, Porsha Stewart divorce situation. The list goes on and on from there.

But how about Buffalo Bills defensive end Mario Williams suing his former fiancee over a $785,000 engagement ring? Oh yea, add that to the mix.

Williams recently signed a contract with the Bills that extends over $100 million, but he’s not worried about that money — he wants his engagement ring back. The two were engaged in February of 2011, but things didn’t last very long. They broke off their engagement in January of 2012 and if you now fast forward to May of this year, we have a lawsuit. The record also indicates that Williams’ former fiancee, Erin Marzouki also rang up over $330,000 in gifts and living expenses in that year.

Collectively, the lawsuit is roughly 1/100 of what the star defensive end is expected to make in his contract with the Bills, but Williams doesn’t care — he wants the ring back and rightfully so.

In the lawsuit, Williams also claims that Marzouki used him for fame and fortune. If this is true, some people would probably feel for Williams, but then again maybe not. Come on Williams, you should know better.
