When Manti Te’o began the 2012 college football season, he never thought his life would play out like it did. He was a top-tier linebacker at Notre Dame, but never could have imagined the kind of attention he would garner in his final season in South Bend.
Well, a national title appearance, grandmother’s passing and fake girlfriend later and he is one of the most talked about athletes in all of sports — maybe outside of Tim Tebow.
His popularity grew a bit more recently as Maxim Magazine came out with its annual list of top 100 hottest women. You may be asking, how would that have anything to do with a male football player?
Well, on the list was his smoking hot babe of a fake girlfriend, coming in at No. 69 on the illustrious list. Face it, he should be honored to have dated one of the top 100 hottest women in the world. At 31 women into the rankings, that’s a solid catch for the young man.

While this may stir up a bit of controversy with the rookie NFL linebacker, it may go down as one of the funniest jokes about the entire situation — and trust me, there have been quite a few. I couldn’t even count how many pictures were taken by my friend and his ‘girlfriend.’
Anyway, hats off to Maxim for a hilarious joke that is sure to garner some attention, and hey, maybe next year she will rise to the top 50.
