USA Soccer Player Helps Leave Pig’s Head in Teammate’s Locker

Stoke City and USA midfielder Brek Shea has sparked a rather unique and bizarre piece of news in the world of soccer.

The 23 year old, a former player of FC Dallas, tweeted a picture of him holding the head of a pig inside the locker room at the English Premier League club’s training ground.

The head has been reported as being left in the locker of teammate Kenwyne Jones. Understandably Jones didn’t find the prank amusing even in the slightest, and a rumor is suggesting that he smashed the windshield of teammate Glen Whelan‘s car in retaliation.

The Jamaican, Jones has been reported as being left in a state of furious anger.

Stoke have however released a statement which in brief states:

“A full internal investigation will be carried out, those responsible for any unacceptable behavior will be dealt with in accordance with the club’s disciplinary procedures.”

Club manager Tony Pulis did speak on English national radio today where he said:

“I honestly don’t know what’s gone on this morning, I’ve missed all of what’s happened. I try to stay away from the home dressing room as much as I possibly can, I let the lads get on with it. We will look at it tomorrow, I will have a chat with the lads and find out exactly what has happened. From that point onwards we’ll let everybody know exactly what the situation was.”

Famous England striker Michael Owen, who is set to retire from the game this weekend has already confirmed on Twitter it was not him. Unfortunately for whoever did attempt the risky prank is likely to receive some sort of notable punishment from the club. It is in no way confirmed as being Shea, but at this point he is the only member of the squad to have publicly shared any images. However, the possibility of Whelan’s car being smashed up by Jones seems to suggest that the culprit is in fact Whelan.
