Watch Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel Throw Out First Pitch at San Diego Padres Game

Let’s be honest–Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel is living the dream at the moment as he’s sitting on top of the college football world after winning the Heisman last year. Manziel’s celebrity status has taken off over the last year as he’s become a national icon just about anywhere he goes and after he was selected to throw out  the first pitch for Thursday’s game between the San Diego Padres and Washington Nationals, the quarterback decided to get creative and have some fun with it.

As you can see in the video above, Manziel decided to re-enact his famous touchdown pass against Alabama during the opening pitch–which was quite hilarious on the quarterback’s end. We’ve seen some interesting first pitches thrown over the years from famous athletes (remember Denard Robinson‘s embarrassing first pitch a few months back?) and it’s always fun to see them bring out the creativity every once in a while.

Luckily, this is one of those incidents where Manziel won’t be able to receive a hard time about considering he receives criticism for just about every other activity he participates in off the football field. The 2013 season is right around the corner and all eyes will be on Manziel once again as he looks to keep the Aggies in the national title hunt and possibly repeat when it comes to winning the Heisman.

It certainly won’t be easy, but if anyone seems capable of pulling it off–it’s Manziel.
