Los Angeles Angels Reliever Robert Coello Has One of the Sickest Pitches You’ll Ever See

(Denny Medley/USA Today Sports)

When it comes to pitchers, there are plenty playing in the major leagues that have a certain pitch that can seem impossible to record a hit off of. One of the pitchers that appears to fall in that category for the 2013 season–Robert Coello of the Los Angeles Angels.

The reliever has been impressive for the Angels so far this season as he’s appeared in just over 10 innings to go along with a 0.87 ERA, but it’s one impressive pitch that is making headlines as it’s arguably one of the craziest pitches you may ever see. In fact, the best way to describe the pitch would have to be a combination of a knuckleball and curveball–which would be nearly impossible to hit off of.

Just look at the video above and see how amazing Coello’s pitch is when he does appear in the game for the Angels. This pitch is so crazy–even the catcher has a difficult time of trying to keep track where it’s going to end up.

Obviously, this type of pitch gives Coello an advantage over his opponents, but one can only imagine the type of damage it does to his throwing arm each time he decides to use that pitch. Either way, Los Angeles has to be pleased with having such a reliable reliever and it will certainly be interesting to see how opponents manage to handle Coello’s wild pitch throughout the 2013 season since it certainly isn’t easy to hit.
