The 2013 NBA Finals has finally arrived as the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs are set to square off against each other in Game 1 on Thursday in what should go down as an epic series between the two squads. While the Heat have been considered the favorites to win the title for most of the season, the Spurs have proven to the world their age isn’t a factor and they still have what it takes to compete with the best.
All eyes will be on LeBron James and company as the Heat are making their third-straight appearance in the NBA Finals while looking to win for their second straight and while the players have been addressing the media all week–it looks like one TV station in San Antonio made the mistake when King James had his turn to speak.
As you can see in the photo above, someone goofed up by saying LeBron plays for the Spurs in the headline instead of the Heat. Obviously, there’s no excuse for this type of mistake to happen, but it’s safe to say the Spurs would certainly welcome James with open arms if that happened to be the case.
On the bright side, at least the rookie who made this headline mistake has seen their segment become quite popular across the country, but let’s just hope this wasn’t something that cost anyone their job so we can just laugh over the hilarious situation.
