The Brooklyn Nets have agreed in principle this summer to acquire Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Jason Terry from the Boston Celtics in exchange for Kris Humphries, Gerald Wallace, Kris Joseph, Marshon Brooks and Keith Bogans. This trade did not just catch the eye of other NBA teams in the league, but it has also caught the attention of the New York Jets‘ Jordan White.

By White making this proclamation on his twitter timeline, it just shows the magnitude this will have in the NBA, the Brooklyn Nets and the borough of Brooklyn in general next season. Already you have Brooklyn residents thinking NBA championship next season with the Nets.
White must be thinking championship as well for the Nets. Will we see him with those swanky Calvin Klein Courtside Club seats next season? White, being an athlete, knows all about positioning yourself to win a championship in your respected sport, as he is trying to play a pivotal role for the Jets’ to win a Superbowl eventually.
With the additions of Garnett, Pierce and Terry, the Nets will receive three guys with three NBA championships between them. The rest of the Nets team has none besides their new coach Jason Kidd, who has one.
White, I do hope that your tweet is a proclamation of what is to come for the Nets to get more fans, exposure and a championship. Also, I hope that your boss and Jets’ owner Woody Johnson follow suit of Mikhail Prokhorov, owner of the Nets’, in trying to get the Jets to the NFL Superbowl.
