Over the years, professional athletes have provided fans and reporters with plenty of bizarre interviews when they feel uncomfortable talking about certain situations. The latest athlete to provide a classic interview–Torii Hunter of the Detroit Tigers.

For those of you that didn’t see Thursday’s game between the Tigers and Chicago White Sox, there was a moment in the sixth inning when the benches cleared after Luke Putkonen nearly hit Alexei Ramirez with a pitch. Not only did this lead to an ejection on Putkonen’s end, but Tigers manager Jim Leyland was tossed as well for arguing about his pitcher’s ejection.

In fact, Leyland’s argument may turn out to be one of the most intense one’s from the 2013 season–which is why reporters were anxious to see what Hunter thought about it all.

Luckily, Hunter has been in the game for quite some time and knows a thing or two about what could happen if he says the wrong thing–so he deserves plenty of credit for his clever responses to questions in the video above. The best part about the whole video is how Hunter was able to take an awkward topic and figure out a way to find humor about it.

Everybody has known what Hunter is capable of on the baseball field, but it looks like he has some talent as a comedian as well. Hopefully, this isn’t the last we see of Hunter’s hilarious interviews as these two teams still have plenty of matches to look forward to this year.
