One of the best experiences about going to a baseball game is having the chance to catch a home run or a foul ball, but as everyone will say–it’s certainly not easy to be in the best spot to catch one. In fact, any fan should consider themselves lucky if they manage to even catch one ball during a game–so the fact that one Cleveland Indians fan managed to catch four in a single game may be one of the most impressive things in all of sports.
Indians season-ticket holder Greg Van Niel managed to catch not one, but four foul balls while attending Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Royals. Van Niel had to have been excited after catching the first one considering how difficult it can be to do at times, but it’s safe to say he never could have predicted to catch four during one single game in a million years.
Thanks to his magical day–Van Niel has become quite the popular sensation across the country as baseball fans are amazing of his achievement. As mentioned before, most fans are lucky enough to even catch one during a single game–so to accomplish something like this is beyond impressive.
As for the Indians in general, they’re certainly going to be a team to keep an eye on in the second half of the 2013 regular season as they head into the All-Star break with a 51-44 record.
