During his glory days at Duke, J.J. Redick was arguably the best shooter in college basketball; and even though his NBA career may not be at the level he was hoping it would be at, the sharpshooter has managed to find new ways to make more of an impact each season.

Unless you were a big fan of the Blue Devils or Orlando Magic, it was difficult to be a fan of Redick as he always seemed to have the type of attitude and lived a way of life that most basketball fans couldn’t stand.

So when a story emerges about Redick having an “abortion contract” with ex-girlfriend and model Vanessa Lopez, it really shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone.

Unfortunately, the “abortion contract” is exactly what it sounds like: Lopez apparently agreed to undergo an abortion as long as certain conditions were met. There are numerous parts of the contract that stick out, such as Redick agreeing to attempt the relationship for at least a year if Lopez went through with the abortion, or Lopez receiving $25,000 if the basketball star decides he’s no longer interested in the relationship — as long as there’s written notice.

If you’re interested in checking out the actual contract, it can be viewed by clicking here.

There have always been bizarre stories when it comes to professional athletes in sports, but this contract between Redick and Lopez has to be one of the craziest scenarios of all-time. Just when you think you couldn’t dislike Redick more as a basketball fan, we find out that he pulled off a move like this back in 2007 when he was a rookie … just because he didn’t want to have a kid.

Classy move, J.J.
