When it comes to baseball, we’re used to seeing amazing highlights from players at the professional level, but that doesn’t mean we don’t come across impressive plays from the youngsters every once in a while. Luckily for Nathan Lewis, an impressive catch to close out the fourth inning has made him an overnight celebrity.

As you can see in the video below, six-year-old Nathan makes one of the best catches you may ever see for a player his age as he runs towards the foul ball and somehow manages to pull off the incredible diving catch. It’s one thing to expect a play like this from a player at the junior high or even high school level, but for a six-year-old to accomplish a play like this is beyond impressive.

The play took place during a game between the Irvine Pony’s Shetland All-star team and East Long Beach over the weekend and it will be interesting to see how popular Nathan becomes now after making this catch. It’s amazing how one single play can make an individual famous in an instant and that appears to be exactly the case for Nathan.

If Nathan is capable of making impressive catches like this, it will be interesting to see what he brings to the table from an offensive perspective. He may be young, but Nathan have a bright future ahead of him when it comes to baseball if he can manage to pull off more impressive plays like this.
