The Philadelphia Eagles hope a healthy Todd Herremans–who only played in eight games last season due to a foot injury–can help the offensive line bounce back from what turned out to be a very disappointing season in which the team finished with a 4-12 record. From the coaching staff to the newest members of the team, there were numerous changes made by the Eagles this offseason, but it’s safe to say one of the biggest changes may be the new hairstyle Herremans is rocking now that training camp is underway.

As you can see in the photo, Herremans is rocking some sort of mohawk with a little tiny ponytail in the back–although it appears to be shorter than most ponytails. Herremans has always been known to have a sense of humor, but this new hair due may be one of the funniest acts he’s ever pulled off during his career in Philadelphia.

To make things even more hilarious, Herremans explained to reporters this week how the new look was inspired by the hit show “Vikings”–which airs on the History Channel. It will certainly be interesting to see how many Eagles fans follow the football steps of Herremans by growing out a haircut of their own to look just like the offensive tackle.

Professional sports has seen plenty of athletes pull off interesting hair dues, but it’s safe to say taking after the “Vikings” show from the History Channel is a first–so nicely done Todd. Let’s hope the new look can help Philadelphia turn things around and be contenders in 2013.
