Milwaukee Brewers Wise To Give Fans $3.6 Million in Vouchers at August Home Games

Ryan Braun

Milwaukee Brewers fans have not been the luckiest group of people lately. Having a team in last place in the NL Central, being kicked out of Miller Park for wearing ‘Ryan Fraud’ shirts and just dealing with the fraud that is Ryan Braun have not been easy on this bunch. However, that’s all going to change soon, as owner Mike Attanasio has proven to be a lovable owner.

What exactly did this owner do? How about guarantee every fan who walks into Miller Park for the month of August a $10 voucher good for concessions, tickets or merchandise.

Attanasio has agreed to spend about $3.6 million in vouchers for the month of August, giving back to the fans who have poured their hearts and souls for this team. This is an owner who gets it; he knows that his fans are more important that anything at the moment.

I would say winning is his No. 1 priority, but when the team is having a hard time doing that, keeping fans happy should be the top interest. Giving away $10 to every fan who walks through the gates at home games in August is one of the most generous moves by any owner in MLB history.

Sure, $3.6 million to him is probably pocket change, but giving the fans the best experience will only take a couple of dollars per person. That money will likely spare the fans from spending anything on concessions, allow them to get their favorite player’s jersey — excluding Braun — or buy cheap tickets to the next game in order to get another $10 voucher.

Overall, great move by this owner. Well done, Attanasio.
