Dez Bryant

With the new Madden 25 set to come out in just over a week, many fans of the franchise are flocking to see the preliminary player ratings. These ratings reflect each player’s abilities. The higher the number a player has for a specific stat, the better the player performs in that specific area.

For example, a 99 speed rating, that being the highest possible number you can have, would indicate that the player in question is among the fastest in the game. With all of that said, let’s break down both Dez Bryant and Julio Jones and see where they fall. Then, you will be able to determine which one is better for you. I will start with Bryant.

Bryant’s speed is clocked in at 92 speed overall in this year’s game. Bryant is also not lacking in the strength department, clocking in at a very respectable 74 overall in that category. His agility comes in at a whopping 96 overall as well. Perhaps his greatest attribute, his jumping ability, is rated as a 98 overall.

He is a “smart” receiver in the game too as his awareness is set at 80 overall in the game. He can catch the football and he is durable as his catching rating is 97 overall. The only knock on Bryant in the game is his durability, his injury rating is 85 overall.

As for Jones, he is a bit faster than Bryant with his speed rating at 95 overall. There is no difference in strength between the two as they both are clocked in at 74 overall. Although Jones is faster than Bryant, he is less agile. Bryant’s agility is 96 overall compared to Jones’ 94 overall.

Jones’ awareness on the field comes in at slightly lower than Bryant’s. Jones’ awareness is 77 overall while Bryant’s is 80 overall. Jones’ catching rating is 90 overall, significantly less than Bryant’s 97 overall. Jones has lesser jumping ability in the game as well. His jumping rating comes in at 96 overall. Bryant has a 98 overall rating.

They both are injury prone receivers as Jones’ injury rating is 83 overall and Bryant’s is 85 overall. The one major thing that Jones is better at in the game compared to Bryant is carrying the football. Jones’ carrying rating is 74 overall. Bryant’s is 59 overall.

So who is better, Bryant or Jones? Well, it depends on how you play the game. If you want to roll with a guy that is extremely fast and will rarely fumble, then you want to use Jones. If you want a well-rounded player with incredible hands and superb leaping ability, keeping in mind that he is a fumble risk, then you want to roll with Bryant.

Who would you rather have on your Madden 25 team, Bryant or Jones? Feel free to comment on the subject in the “comments” section below.
