With the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads to Bristol Motor Speedway the bright lights of Saturday night shine on the biggest stars of the sport. With a rowdy atmosphere that cannot be matched, the only thing that can match the intensity on the track is the intensity in the stands.
The experience at home, however, is one of the direct reasons that NASCAR’s attendance has not recovered as well as the sport expected. Coupled with a great excuse to binge drink, whether you’re in college or wanting to relive the glory days while watching the race, I present to you the official rowdy NASCAR drinking game.
WARNING: PLEASE DRINK RESPONSIBLY. IT SHOULD BE FAIRLY OBVIOUS THIS WILL TURN INTO A LOT OF HEAVY DRINKING. Feel free to subtract any rules at will.
For beginners, pick a driver. This will be crucial and will determine exactly how important victory is to you. At Bristol, this will determine whether your night will be good, great or absolutely awful. Picking Kyle Busch or Brad Keselowski is highly recommended.
Every time your driver is in his (or her) pit box, continue to drink for a sustained chug. This will do most of the damage especially at Bristol with pit stops occurring regularly.
The keywords for this race will be loose, tight, tire and/or rubber, Dale Earnhardt Jr., (or Junior) and Danica Patrick (or Danica). Also, every time Juan Pablo Montoya makes contact with something, you know what to do.
With regards to caution flags, every debris caution is one, while every car involved in a caution requires a sip. For every driver involved in the wreck requires one more sip.
Now, back to the driver you picked at the start. To make sure the night ends with a bang, take a sip for every position behind the lead your driver finishes. Enjoy the race Saturday night, you guys.
