Just when everyone was starting to forget the disaster that is Titus Young, he goes out and breaks another record of stupidity. Young, a former Detroit Lions wide receiver, was scheduled for yet another court appearance on Tuesday afternoon, but he was a no-show.

The former stud receiver had all the potential in the world to be one of the best wide outs in the division and possibly one of the most skilled in the NFC, but his stupidity has landed him out of football because no one wants to take a chance on him and the heavy loads of baggage he carries.

Young was arrested on May 4 for shoplifting a convenience store and then twice the following day. Five days later he was arrested once again, possibly becoming the dumbest criminal in the history of history. Yes, he was arrested four times in week’s time.

Following these arrests, three court appearances had been scheduled for the former wide out. He showed up to a whopping zero.

His lawyer got him excused — somehow — and then today was supposed to be the last straw, but yet he didn’t show up once again and the judge issued a bench warrant.

It’s too bad that this guy had to go down the wrong path because he had such a bright future as the Lions’ No. 2 target behind Calvin Johnson. Sad to see some great young talent wasted because of poor decisions and just flat-out negligence of the law.

Come on, Titus. Wake up.
