2013-14 Week 1 College Football and NFL Betting Picks
It’s that time of year again when fans of football get excited because this is the first weekend of football back on TV and with it, a sign of fall being just around the corner. This weekend is dominated by NCAA Football as they have their opening weekend while the NFL gets going next Thursday with its opener and opening weekend to follow. Aside from sitting back and spending most of, if not all, our Saturdays and or Sundays in front of a television somewhere enjoying all the football action, many will also decide to place a wager on a game or two.
That is why I have decided to bring to all of you something I have done as of last season on my own personal Tumblr account (MySportingThoughts) and have some fun with picking games by either picking them under the against the spread (ATS) points line or straight up picking winners. As I have like to say, my picks are not meant to be gospel or some sort of expert opinion but instead, they are driven for entertainment and having fun by doing a weekly picks column that combines both ATS and straight up picks.
While this week is solely college football, next week’s picks will include some NFL picks as well. All the lines for the ATS college football and NFL picks are courtesy of Covers.com. In addition to those picks, I will generally have a few picks in a bonus pick segment and those odds a re courtesy of Bovada.lv and without further ado, here is the first installment of my picks for all of you to enjoy.
