Lamar Odom has had a really bad week. He has been facing family and friends with one subject on their mind. Odom has a drug problem. Well, his bad week just got a bit worse as he was pulled over on a California highway and arrested for a DUI.

Odom was driving too slow on the highway when police stopped him. He was apparently driving erratically and at a relatively slow pace. Police say he was under the influence of alcohol and possibly other drugs.

He’s had a drug problem for a while, apparently, and it has been tearing apart his marriage with Khloe Kardashian. She apparently kicked him out of the house the other night because of his issues getting out of control and the news surrounding the former NBA champion was that he was missing — although reports later said that his agent and wife knew exactly where he was.

Odom is one of those guys that just can’t find a way to escape the spotlight and some people might say that no press is bad press, but Odom would beg to differ.

With his marriage on the line, livelihood in question and his mind on the wrong things, Odom needs to find a way to get his life back in line. He was once a solid player and a former NBA Sixth Man of the Year, but his last season with the Los Angeles Clippers did not go well at all. In fact, since leaving the Los Angeles Lakers two seasons ago, Odom has seen all of his numbers cut almost in half due to less playing time.

The Lakers offered to give Odom a spot on the team if he got help. Looks like he needs it big-time.

It’s tough to see this guy’s life go in a downward spiral since he was once such a beloved athlete. This latest DUI could be just enough to wake him up and get some help.
