The Philadelphia Eagles may have never won a Super Bowl in franchise history, but there’s no question they have one of the strongest fan bases in all of sports–period. With the Eagles kicking off their season against the Washington Redskins, nobody really knows what to expect from this team in 2013 after finishing with a 4-12 record, but that doesn’t mean fans shouldn’t be excited about what’s in store for their beloved team this season.
And for all of the Philadelphia fans who aren’t excited about the upcoming season–it’s safe to say you certainly will be after watching the video above.
The video titled “What Brotherly Love Truly Means” describes the popular saying Philadelphia fans are always talking about all while showing some of the best Eagles highlights in franchise history–from beating the Dallas Cowboys 44-6 to get into the playoffs to the miraculous 4th and 26 catch by Freddie Mitchell. Philadelphia fans have always been given a bad reputation over the years, but you have to love the dedication and heart they’ve shown for their beloved team over the years because like the video says–they sure do where their hearts on their sleeve.
It will certainly be interesting to see how this team bounces back after last season now that Chip Kelly is under center, but the potential is certainly there for the Eagles to emerge as a surprise contender in the NFC East. Either way, if this video doesn’t get you even more excited for what’s in store for Monday night against the Redskins–your status as a Philadelphia fan may be in question.
