With U.S. Open quarterfinal matches in full swing on Thursday, fans will be graced with a moment of sheer glory and hilarity in Arthur Ashe Stadium. Rainn Wilson, best known for his portrayal of Dwight K. Schrute on the comedy show “The Office,” will team up with fellow celebrity Jason Biggs (American Pie star) to face off in a doubles exhibition match against two former No. 1 overall tennis legends. The star duo will face off against Chris Evert and Monica Seles in a match that is sure to be fun for all.
Evert is an 18-time Grand Slam champion from the 70’s and 80’s, and Seles boasts nine major titles of her own. Although the two women are now well best their prime – Evert is almost 60 and Seles is almost 40 – I am sure they will still slam a few balls back at Biggs and Wilson.
Wilson has been seen around the tennis scene over the last few years, so this match will most certainly not be his first time on the court. He actually played in a charity tournament that featured big names such as, Will Ferrell and Mats Wilander.
Based on his Twitter account, Wilson seemed to be very excited for the match, but still managed to carry over his comedy to the court:

Although I am sure Evert and Seles will go easy in the friendly match this evening at 7 p.m. EST, it will be fun to watch the two legends serve up a nice, piping-hot slice of humble pie to two of the funniest men in show business.
