Texas A&M President Praises Johnny Manziel With Famous ‘Show Me the Money’ Sign

Johnny Manziel has been the talk of college football all offseason long and spilling over into week one of the regular season. After his week one performance and taunting of the Rice Owls, it was obvious that the sophomore quarterback had a lot of respect to earn still and he didn’t take any steps toward that.

After each of the three touchdowns he threw in the second half of his week one game against the Owls, Manziel boasted a celebration that irked the NCAA and probably angered many haters of the young kid. Even some supporters of Manziel can agree that his ‘show me the money’ celebration is a bit much, but he did it anyway — much to the dismay of college football fans.

That celebration has been in the news ever since good old No. 2 used it in a taunting manner last Saturday. It’s become so famous, however, that even Texas A&M Aggies president R. Bowen Loftin even performed the shameful hand gesture in a recent photo.

Check out the ridiculous picture here:

As you can see, the guys on the side of Loftin, 64, are throwing up the sign of Drake‘s latest album and Manziel’s latest tattoo, “OVO”. This is a pure showing of ignorance and although these kids may think it’s funny, it just shows a flat-out disrespect for the NCAA — even though it could have handed down a tougher suspension on the quarterback.

Applauding Manziel’s behavior might be comical, but not if you’re so highly regarded and respected as Loftin is. Good thing he’s retiring after this year and has nothing to lose.
