Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: 30 Hot Pictures
Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders
Nicknamed “America’s Sweethearts,” the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (DCC) have been the gold standard for all cheerleaders for over 50 years.
In 1960, the iconic group made its debut during the Cowboys’ inaugural season. The group consisted of both male and female cheerleaders and was called “CowBelles & Beaux.”
In 1969, under the guidance of Tex Schramm, the decision was made to go with an all-female squad and the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders were born. Initially, the DCC were all local high school cheerleaders from the Dallas-Fort Worth area, but the Cowboys decided in 1972 that the squad would consist of adult women of at least 18 years of age. Now working with adults, the Cowboys also decided to go with a more revealing, sexier look to the uniforms, similar to what we see them wearing today.
One of my favorite events that the DCC do is their tours with the United Service Organizations (USO), which started in 1979 for U.S. troops stationed in South Korea. Since then, the DCC has visited and put on performances for U.S. troops all over the world.
I got to see them perform while I was stationed overseas in 2009, and let me be the one to tell you that if you’ve never seen the DCC perform, you’re truly missing out. I definitely recommend you go out and see them for yourself.
Until you do, however, you can always come back and check these 30 hot pictures of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders out.
