According to the New York Post Page Six, Miami Heat star LeBron James will tie the knot with longtime girlfriend Savannah Brinson this weekend in San Diego. It’s said that the wedding will take place at either the Grand Del Mar or Hotel Del Coronado.
Sources report that the couple have planned out a three-day event beginning on Friday with a welcome barbecue. Festivities will continue on Saturday with the ceremony to take place that afternoon, followed by a reception that evening. All things coming to a conclusion with a farewell brunch on Sunday morning.
The guest list for the wedding is said to include the likes of New York Knicks‘ Carmelo Anthony and his wife La La, Los Angeles Clippers‘ Chris Paul, actress Gabrielle Union, teammate Dwayne Wade, coach Erik Spoelstra and Heat president Pat Riley.
James’ wedding is reportedly being planned by celebrity wedding planner extraordinaire Preston Bailey, who helped plan the wedding of Napster founder and Facebook co-founder Sean Parker, among numerous other extravagant events. The site for the couple’s honeymoon is yet to be revealed, but as James truly outdoes himself in every aspect of life, I can’t expect his after-wedding plans to be much different.
What other big name stars will make an appearance? Where will the newlyweds venture off to celebrate their honeymoon? What song will LeBron and Savannah make their first dance to? All will be answered this weekend when the two exchange “I do’s.”
