Texas A&M vs. Alabama Game Has Most Expensive Regular Season Tickets Ever

Texas A&M-Alabama

John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

Have you wondered how much money you would have to shovel out in order to attend this weekend’s game of the year that pins the Texas A&M Aggies against the mighty Alabama Crimson Tide? Well, let’s just say you would probably have to work overtime in order to afford even the worst of seats.

In fact, the tickets for this game are the most expensive regular season of all-time, according to many reports. According to Forbes, tickets for this game are going for $763 on average in the secondary markets — meaning any ticket-selling websites. If that doesn’t surprise you, then you must make millions of dollars per year and already have a ticket to the game.

People who are selling their tickets to the game seem to be striking gold. Season-ticket holders who are short on cash are probably scrambling to find the nearest computer and put their tickets up for sale — while the real fans actually attend the game.

These ticket prices would make even Johnny Manziel blush. I wouldn’t be surprised if he asked for a cut of the profits from the game and maybe even had a few tickets for family that he tries selling on Craigslist.

All jokes aside, this is going to be one of the greatest games in recent memory and it will be even better when all the Johnny Football talk is set aside for one night and the game is actually played. This is a win-win situation. If the Aggies win, then that just means Alabama loses and everyone in the country rejoices. If the Crimson Tide win, that means Manziel gets to eat his words and maybe take his cockiness down a level.

Get your checkbooks out, folks.
