Chick-fil-A in Ohio Takes Shot at Cleveland Browns With Sign Saying Team Takes Off Sundays
Despite a somewhat impressive preseason by Brandon Weeden, the Cleveland Browns showed once again in Week 1 they may be heading towards another long season as they just couldn’t get anything going against the Miami Dolphins during their home opener. Unfortunately, the Browns have been quite the laughing stock of the NFL over the last couple of years as they haven’t reached the playoffs since the 2003 season and things are already looking bad enough this season–even Chick-fil-A is taking shots at the organization.
The photo above is from a Chick-fil-A located in North Canton, Ohio where the main sign outside reads “Like the Browns we take Sundays off.” For those of you who love the delicious chicken sandwiches from Chick-fil-A, there’s a good chance you’ve experienced the disappointing feeling of driving to the popular chain on a Sunday before realizing their closed.
What’s an even more disappointing feeling–having a place like Chick-fil-A take a shot like this if you happen to be a member of the Browns by saying they never show up to play for games on Sundays.
It’s still early in the season, but there’s been plenty of controversy surrounding whether or not Weeden–who threw three interceptions in Week 1–is the answer for the Browns at quarterback. There’s no question Cleveland has some of the most passionate fans in football, but as bad as it sounds–this display by Chick-fil-A is not only kind of funny, but true.
Who knows, maybe this photo is just the type of motivation the Browns need to begin playing better–but let’s not get too ahead of ourselves just yet.
