The Houston Astros aren’t the best team in baseball. In fact, they are the worst team in baseball with just 51 wins and a few weeks to go in the 2013 season. Yes, the Astros are bad. How bad? Well, bad enough that a group of dogs didn’t even want to see them attempt to play baseball.

What do I mean by this? A group of dogs was walking in foul territory during the game, looking for somewhere to exit the field with their owners. This, in turn, delayed the game for a couple of minutes — I’m not kidding.

Check out the video of the first ever dog delay here:

This was pretty funny. Not just because the dogs delayed the Astros game against the Los Angeles Angels. No, because it looked to be the fans favorite part of the game. If you look in the stands, the fans aren’t even upset that dogs happen to be delaying the inevitable: an Astros loss.

Fans were happy to see such a pleasant sight interrupt such an ugly game. These dogs attracted more attention in two minutes than the Astros have all season long. These dogs are definitely fan favorites.

I’ve never seen such a thing happen at a baseball game and I’m willing to bet this is the first time any game in the history of sports has been delayed due to somewhat of a dog parade on the field.

Sorry Astros fans but your team is so awful that even the dogs don’t want to see them play.
