If Sunday night’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers is any indication, it’s safe to say these two NFC West teams have one of the best current rivals as there’s a good chance one of these teams will represent the NFC in this year’s Super Bowl. In fact, this rivalry is so intense that undercover cops posed as 49ers fans during Sunday’s game to make sure everything was under control, but that didn’t stop Seahawks fans from at least having some fun over the situation.
As you can see in the photo above, one Seattle fan decided to poke fun at the “undercover cop” situation by holding a sign that read “COP–>” and took a photo standing next to a kid wearing 49ers gear. Obviously, this kid is far from being a police officer, but the look of frustration on his face over the 49ers getting crushed in this game is what makes the photo priceless.
Seattle made a huge statement on Sunday night with a blowout 29-3 win over San Francisco and if they can manage to play on that level on a consistent basis–chances are they’re going to be the team to beat in the NFC this season. It may only be two weeks into the regular season, but the Seahawks have picked up right where they left off during the 2012 season and on top of having one of the best teams–the photo above shows why they have one of the strongest fan bases as well.
