Matt Harvey took the baseball world by storm early on in the 2013 season. He pitched his way to a start in the All-Star game and was continuing to ride high until an elbow injury ended his season. The young phenom has a partial tear in his UCL, which is almost as serious as it gets for pitchers. At this time, Harvey has decided to pass on Tommy John surgery, which is leading to criticism from many.

So with that in mind, take a listen to this interview Harvey did with Dan Patrick :
Anyone who’s listened to the Dan Patrick Show before knows that his interviews can get a bit awkward at times. He conducts great interviews, but he does ask the tough questions. In this instance, Harvey just completely stopped the radio host. He then went on stumble his way through his sales pitch for Qualcomm, which probably didn’t land them any new customers.
Overall, I found Harvey’s reluctance to talk about Tommy John surgery to be funny. He shut down the legendary radio host and not too many people do that. He said he’d be glad to come on again in the future, but I’m wonder if Patrick and company will invite him back. Ah, who am I kidding? Of course they’ll have him back on. Patrick always likes to get the last word and he knows that people will want to hear the second interview. Harvey’s agent on the other hand, may not feel the same.
