Florida State Quarterback Jameis Winston Depicted As Jesus on Shirt
In case you haven’t heard the name Jameis Winston yet, you should probably watch some film on the guy. He is a star freshman quarterback that plays for the Florida State Seminoles and he is good. Very good. He’s so good, he’s earned himself a shirt depicting him as Jesus and it says “The Chosen 1 2013″.
Yeah, he’s that good. He can earn the distinction of ‘the chosen one’ through just two college games and it might be a bit ridiculous. He’s played two games in his college career and he has completed 40 of 45 passes while throwing six touchdowns. Having more touchdowns than incompletions is quite a feat, especially for a guy who had never seen the field prior to this season. He did learn behind former Florida State great EJ Manuel for a season, but it’s still impressive what he has done.
Some people have gone so far as to say he’s ‘the chosen one’ on this ridiculous shirt:
As you can see, the young superstar has been portrayed as Jesus in this shirt. Yes, Jesus, as in God’s son. I know it will upset many religious people and there’s good reason for that, but sometimes you have to let people salivate and obsess over their team’s star player.
A Jesus comparison may be a bit too farfetched. Okay, so it’s a lot farfetched, but the kid is good and he has the potential to be one of the best quarterbacks in college football for the next couple of years — unless he leaves for the pros after his third year in college next season.
Interesting move, Seminoles fans.
