Just when you thought the Brett Favre ‘coming out of retirement’ talks were over, his agent has once again stirred the pot. It’s been nearly three years since the legendary quarterback has stepped on an NFL field, but Bus Cook felt the need to say this in a recent interview:

“Today, he could play today. I saw him the other day. He’s in the best shape I’ve ever seen him in, physically. His arms look like a blacksmith’s arms. He rides a bike probably 30-50 miles a day. He runs four or five miles a day. He’s coaching at the high school and they’re undefeated. He loves it. His body fat is 7.5 percent and he weighs 225 pounds. He could play today, better than a lot of them out there today.”

Cook did clarify that Favre is not considering a return and that he’s not trying to start any rumors. So then why give the long-winded rundown of how great Favre looks? That’s only adding fuel to a fire that should have stopped burning long ago.

But when it comes to number four, we’ve all learned the hard way to never say never. Would anybody really be surprised if he dusted off his cleats and tried to make another comeback?

Even though it’s technically a possibility, even the craziest of Favre fans have to know that he’s done for good. It was clear in 2010 that his body just couldn’t hold up anymore. The only real question remaining in regards to Favre’s football career – when will the Green Bay Packers will retire his jersey?
