A Humble Superstar: Colin Kaepernick Holds Tight to Hateful Tweets Received This Week
Colin Kaepernick and his San Francisco 49ers aren’t exactly in the most favorable of positions at the moment. After a dominating week one victory against the Green Bay Packers, the 49ers have suffered two beat downs against the likes of the Seattle Seahawks and Indianapolis Colts.
When asked recently by ESPN reporters if he listens to any of the criticism he’s received all week, Kaepernick responded:
“I’m working. It’s not something I listen to.”
He was then asked, if he doesn’t listen to it, then, why he would look through all of the tweets he’s been mentioned in and even ‘favorite’ some of the more hateful statements made by so-called fans.
“It’s something I do for me,” he said.
Lastly, asked how it helps him, Kaepernick responded with another subtle and soft-spoken answer:
“It helps me. I just helps me.”
Below are just a couple of tweets he’s received and favorited this week. Keep in mind, these are the ‘nicer’ ones as I have left out any with profanity.
@Kaepernick7 I hate you so much. I hope you fall off the face of the NFL planet and end up just another could’ve been, but never was QB

I’ll leave you with a quote from the man himself as he takes a look in the mirror and attempts to fix what’s wrong in San Francisco.
“I think everybody knows we have to get better. We’re 1-2 for a reason. I’m not going to call out anybody. I’m going to look at myself before I look at anyone else.”
Humility at its finest, folks.
