As one of the most celebrated rookies in recent memory, Yasiel Puig has become an MLB superstar seemingly overnight. One day, the Los Angeles Dodgers were 10-plus games under .500 and then next, Puig takes over. He hit over .400 in his first 100 bats in the majors — something that has never been done before by a rookie.

He has since cooled off, hitting just over .320 with 19 homers and 42 RBI. Although he isn’t as scorching the ball like he was in the first month of his season, the Dodgers have still come out of the NL West, becoming the first team to clinch a division in baseball this season. It’s cool to see the young kid earning so much respect from people around the league, it’s just too bad people are giving him grief for a few instances of poor play and poor decisions.

Well, every team has some type of rookie hazing — and it’s usually by making the young players dress up in crazy Halloween costumes and parading them around for everyone to see and laugh at.

Such is the case with L.A. as they dressed up their rookies — and Puig had the best costume, by far.

As you can see in the picture above, Puig is pictured with Vin Scully, the legendary voice of the Dodgers. This has to be one of the coolest pictures ever. The young Puig — who probably doesn’t know much about Scully because he wasn’t alive for most of his career — and the legendary voice.

Awesome costume. Awesome photo.
