For baseball fans, October is one of the most exciting times of the year as the MLB playoffs get under way and with the way things played out towards the end of the regular season–this year’s postseason should be filled with plenty of excitement. One of the main teams to keep an eye on this postseason will be the Boston Red Sox as they finished in first place in the AL East in 2013 after finishing at the bottom of the division and in honor of the victims from this year’s Boston Marathon–the team decided to design Fenway Park with a special logo.
As you can see in the photo above, center field will have an amazing “Boston Strong” symbol with the “B” from the Red Sox logo for this year’s playoffs–which is simply just awesome for the organization to do after everything that happened last April. Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev were responsible for setting off two bombs at this year’s Boston Marathon in which three people died and over 260 people were injured, but just like any other terrorist attack this country has dealt with in the past–the city of Boston bounced back stronger than ever to get through this tragic event.
The Red Sox as an organization played a big part in helping the city get through what happened at the Boston Marathon last April and once again–it’s great to see them honor the city by mowing “B Strong” into centerfield for the postseason. If Red Sox fans weren’t already fired up before, seeing this in the outfield each game will only bring that excitement to a whole new level.
