Coming into this season, Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III had high expectations for his team. He had high expectations for his health, that he would be able to bounce back from one of the worst possible sports injuries he could have endured — a torn ACL.
He may have gone about it in a questionable manner at times, but he’s a young guy. He wants to get on the field. He wants to win.
In case you don’t follow him much, whether it be an interview or social networking, Griffin is an incredibly positive person. He is a man of God who believes that his faith will get him through anything in life.
Just like Tim Tebow, Griffin expresses his faith outwardly in an unashamed manner. I thought I would share a few of his recent tweets to give a bit of an insight on what kind of guy he is and what exactly has been pulling him through a rough start to the season. Amidst plenty of criticism that he needs to play better after a 1-3 start, Griffin has tweeted many thoughts such as the following.
Never let them steal your Joy #AppreciateEverything

In times like these, God watches to see if we are going to still praise HIM. We Praise HIM in the good times, tough times & at all times

Whether or not you agree with his beliefs, you have to give the man credit for staying positive and showing a never-give-up attitude. The Redskins are lucky to have someone with his character and will to win.
Like Tebow, all he cares about his winning football games and making the best out of any situation in life through his faith — including most recently, his injury, tough start to the season and all the criticism that comes with the present time. It is clear he’s on a path to prove his critics wrong and simply live for and appreciate the moment and opportunity he’s been given.
If I’m a Redskins fan, I am not worried about the future of this season. In a rather unimpressive division, Washington is only one game out of the lead at the moment. With a guy like Griffin who has not only an incredible set of athletic abilities, but a heart of gold and a will to win, the Redskins are in great hands.
