Last weekend’s action in both NCAA football and NFL gave us something to talk about and made a number of people either elated or frustrated, depending whom you took to cover if you bet on the money line. Clearly, you did not have to be Floyd Mayweather (who bet a reported $300,000) to be flustered while hoping for Texas A&M to cover the -14.5, which they didn’t as they only won by 12.

This weekend’s slate of action in both college and the NFL provides us with some intriguing lines on a few games which are either must-watch games or ones that solidify teams’ strong starts. There are also number of soccer games worth a watch as a number of superclasicos will be played in various countries.

In addition, we have a very good matchup in boxing this weekend as Wladimir Klitschko faces off against Alexander Povetkin in a heavyweight division unification fight Moscow.

As far as my results from last weekend, once again I had a mixed week. I finished 1-3-1 in my against the spread (ATS) picks with the New Orleans Saints being my lone win thanks to their three-touchdown drubbing of the Miami Dolphins on Monday night. I did well on my straight-up picks as I went 3-2, hitting all three of my college football picks and missing on both NFL picks.

As far as my bonus picks go, the only one I got right was the under of three goals in the Real MadridAtletico Madrid game.

Through five weeks of me picking, I am 10-13-2 in my ATS picks while I am 20-5 in my straight up picks. May this be the week that I am able to go 3-2 or better in my ATS picks as it is no fun picking only one game right and hopefully, I am able to spot the right games with the right lines to make it happen this weekend. All lines for my ATS picks are courtesy of Covers.com and the lines for my bonus picks are courtesy of Bovada.lv.

Against The Spread Picks

In Sunday’s Ligue 1 game between Olympique Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), take Marseille to win at +300. In Saturday’s heavyweight unification fight between Klitschko and Povetkin, take the over of 9.5 rounds at -115.
