Any Detroit Lions fan with a Dominic Raiola jersey at home should get the lighter fuel out because the No. 51 uniforms belong in the trash at this point.
Raiola has been at the center of controversy for most of his NFL career, yet his latest incident really takes the cake of stupidity. Reports say that the Lions’ center was verbally abusing the University of Wisconsin Marching Band when it performed prior to the Lions’ road contest versus the Green Bay Packers. Members of the band said that Raiola was hurling insults left and right with most of them involving the sexuality of the band members.
What a complete dope?
I understand that offensive linemen are naturally gritty, but are Raiola’s issues really so bad that he is forced to scream insulting things toward innocent trombone players? This is just another example of Jim Schwartz not having control his football team, which is exactly why the Lions would be better off showing the awful head coach toward the door sooner rather than later.
Until Schwartz gets canned, idiots like Raiola will continue to rule the roost and foolish tirades like the one on Sunday are going to be the norm before long if they are not already.
