The NFL is a tough league. When these players are taking hits on the field, they are taking them off the field from experts and opposing fans. Denver Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno took a pretty big knockout punch from Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy.
Skip Bayless took to Twitter to post about the Broncos game against the Dallas Cowboys. McCoy apparently disagreed with the controversial sports analyst, leading to a harsh statement about Moreno.
Check out what the NFL’s leading rusher said about the Moreno.
Okay, sometimes running backs have rivalries with one another, but this is just a low-blow. Not many players will come out and say someone else “sucks”, but when you’re the leading rusher in football, apparently you have earned the right.
McCoy has 468 yards and two touchdowns on 78 carries this season — good for an average of six yards per carry. Moreno, on the other hand, hasn’t seen as much success. Although Bayless was right as Moreno carried the ball 19 times for 93 yards and a touchdown against the Cowboys, he has severely underachieved in his career.
The former first-round draft pick has rushed for 2,668 yards and 19 touchdowns in five seasons and having a tough time staying healthy. Moreno has played a full season just once in his career, playing in just 28 games from 2010-12.
I’m not sure if McCoy’s account was hacked, because the tweet was not taken down as of Sunday night, but I took a screen-shot just in case it does cease to exist.
Harsh words from NFL running back to fellow NFL running back.
Your move, Knowshon.
