Tennis Announcer Uses 'Breaking Bad' References While Calling Match

In what seems to be a new thing these days, another announcer has worked pop culture into a broadcast. This time it involves tennis, Breaking Bad and announcer Kevin Skinner. The tennis announcer was apparently a little bored recently while calling a match between Serena Williams and Caroline Wozniacki, so he decided to interject a few references from one of the greatest shows in television history.

Here’s the audio from the match:

This work from Skinner is simply amazing. He worked the referenes in to the point where casual viewers/listeners would have no idea that he was talking about Breaking Bad. But for fans of the show had to be chuckling with each mention.

It’s a shame that Breaking Bad is now a thing of the past. Many people across the internet have joked about holding show creator Vince Gilligan hostage and forcing him to continue the show or to make a new one. He is set to be a part of the prequel/spin-off show about Saul Goodman, Better Call Saul, but we all know that won’t be enough. Without Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, the new spin off just won’t be as good.

For those of you who haven’t watched Breaking Bad or don’t think you’d like it because of the subject matter – just give in. Watch the first six episodes (on Netflix) and if you’re not hooked (which is impossible), then you can say it wasn’t for you.
