Jason Grilli Gets Extra Rowdy at Pearl Jam Concert in Pittsburgh

As one of the best closers in the MLB this season, you can imagine how excited Jason Grilli was to take the Pittsburgh Pirates to the playoffs in his 10th major league season. Grilli finished the season with 33 saves and a 2.70 ERA in 54 games out of the bullpen for the NLDS-bound Pirates at the end of the regular season.

Grilli has been on playoff-bound teams in the past, but following the Pirates’ recent loss to the St. Louis Cardinals in the NLDS, the 36-year-old pitcher felt very strongly about his team’s chances in 2014. Spending his offseason rocking out at Pearl Jam concerts, Grilli got the opportunity to get on stage during the band’s visit to Pittsburgh and let’s just say Grilli rocked out like a mad man.

The band made the mistake of giving Grilli a microphone as the once-awful bullpen pitcher in his previous years in the league professed his love for the city of Pittsburgh and the fact that next year is “our *bleeping* year”.

Check out the video of this action going down, but be warned, it does have some profanity in it:

Grilli looks like the complete Pearl Jam junkie with his 90s outfit and ball cap. He apparently parties too hard on stage with bands that make the mistake of handing him a mic and dances like a fool, getting in the way of the lead singer and guitar man.

Maybe he should get dancing lessons next time he tries getting on stage and moving around like a fool.
