The New Orleans Saints and New England Patriots matched up on Sunday night in one of the best games of the season thus far. The Patriots are a notoriously successful team with Tom Brady at quarterback while the Saints were one of the lone undefeated teams left in the NFL — due in large part to Rob Ryan‘s impact on the defensive side of the ball.
New Orleans looked like it was well on its way to a victory on the road against the mighty Patriots. However, people seemed to forget that New England has a guy with the last name of Brady who happens to be one of the most clutch quarterbacks of all time as well as one of the most successful.
Engineering numerous amounts of late-game comebacks, Brady calmed down in the final drive of the game with his team down 27-23. There was just over a minute left when the drive began, but that didn’t stop Brady nor did it stop his confidence in the final drive.
Although he was missing key receivers such as tight end Rob Gronkowski and wide out Danny Amendola prior to the fourth quarter due to a devastating hit that knocked him out cold, Brady took the weapons he had and led them down the field with ease.
Having driven his team all the way down to the 17-yard line with about 10 seconds left, Brady then did the unthinkable, but much-expected, by throwing a touchdown pass to Kenbrell Thompkins in the corner of the endzone. Rob Ryan was not happy that his defense allowed a late touchdown with five seconds left and was now down by three points. He proceeded to make the most picture-perfect face of the season thus far.
When he’s not buying whole bars full of people on Bourbon Street drinks, he’s making one epic face. That’s so Rob Ryan.
