We all know how funny Will Ferrell is. The movie star has to be one of the funniest guys on earth — even though some of his movie choices are questionable. On Wednesday afternoon, the Hollywood celebrity visited Game 5 of the St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Dodgers NLCS. He was also in charge of announcing the Dodgers’ lineup and he did it in a way only Will Ferrell could.

Ferrell took to the field prior to the game and someone made the mistake of giving him a mic. Okay, it wasn’t a mistake, but he has a tendency to say whatever he feels like saying with absolutely no filter. This time it was a good thing.

Watch as Ferrell announced the starting lineup of the Dodgers in hilarious fashion:

He knows how to bring a bit of hilarity to the serious Game 5 action. I’m not sure if this motivated the Dodgers in any way, but they finally woke up and started hitting the ball, winning the game 6-4 and pushing the series into a Game 6 down three games to two.

It wasn’t shown in the video, but when Ferrell announced the starting pitcher he said, “No. 21 and today’s winning pitcher, Zack Greinke.”

This is just awesome and he riled the crowd up with that announcement of Greinke already being the winning pitcher and, well, he was right. The Cardinals were probably in their dugouts laughing and saying, ‘yeah right’, but Ferrell was the difference in this game.

Okay, not really, but the Cardinals need to one-up the Ferrell introductions in Game 6 in St. Louis.
