It’s hit or miss when it comes to NFL players and Fantasy Football. Some of them love the online game as much as the rest of us, while others seem to despise it. Brett Favre is not a former player that I would have pegged as a fantasy guy, but apparently that’s not the case. Favre revealed in a recent interview that he does indeed play the popular game and that Aaron Rodgers is his quarterback. That’s right, his replacement.
With all the perceived heat between the two, you’d think there’s no way Favre would pick Rodgers as his QB. Heck, I know plenty of people who won’t draft Rodgers because they don’t like him, even though he’s clearly one of the best QBs in fantasy land. So if Favre is going with the guy who took his job, I think it shows once and for all that he truly just wants to wins.
There’s no question that Favre became selfish and the end of his career. Whether you argue that he earned the right to be selfish or not, there’s no denying that he held teams hostage. Still, when it came time to play on Sunday, he was always the same old guy. He played the game with an unmatched enthusiasm and there was never a question about his effort.
I hope Favre gets back on the same page with his former team soon. His jersey number needs to be retired and he needs to go into the Hall of Fame as a Green Bay Packer.
