Nate Robinson may be short in stature, but he more than makes up for it with a surplus of confidence.

The Denver Nuggets signed Robinson to a two-year deal worth $4 million hoping he could bring a spark to their transition offense, but who would have thought that Robinson is already ruffling feathers in the Colorado area? Just hours after getting fined by the NBA for striking Oklahoma City Thunder rookie center Steven Adams; Robinson opened his mouth about one of his former hobbies.

Apparently, the Denver Broncos success has brought Robinson back to his days as a defensive back with the Washington Huskies. On Monday, Robinson claimed that he would be an “elite NFL cornerback” had he not given up football after just one year with the Huskies football team. First and foremost; Robinson stands at just 5-foot-9, which means he would hardly have a chance against a top-notch wide receiver like Calvin Johnson. Secondly, if Robinson was so good at football wouldn’t he have gone to the NFL when he had the chance?

Either way, this is just another classic example of an annoying professional basketball player begging to trade in his high-tops for a pair of cleats — I’m talking to you LeBron James!
