20 Celebrities You Wouldn’t Believe Were Once Cheerleaders
20 Celebrities You Wouldn’t Believe Used to be Cheerleaders
Ever since the first documented cheerleaders took their spot on the sidelines at a Princeton football game in the 1880s the place and importance of these supporters has taken on an unprecedented role for a non-participating member of a sporting team.
The role of cheerleaders has always been to get the crowd riled up, and throughout time this inevitable link to the game has made a pair of pom poms as commonly associated with a football game as anything happening off the field. For as long as most people can remember there have been cheerleaders on the sidelines of football games, whether that means pop warner, middle school, high school, college or even pro football. In fact, it would be nearly impossible to envision a game of football that does not have cheerleaders present on the sidelines.
The result of this immense popularity of cheerleaders is that inevitably there have been a number of people that are high ranking in American popular culture who have been a cheerleader at some point in their lives. After all a link specifically between musicians who rely on dancing in their shows could obviously find a link between the flips and dancing that is required of any cheerleader throughout the nation.
As surprising as it may seem, though, there have also been a number of celebrities who one would think have no inkling of talent in contorting their body into weird positions or doing incredible flips throughout the air.
