With Halloween upcoming, professional teams are looking to become fan-friendly by offering videos to celebrate the holiday. However, the Dallas Mavericks came out with a cartoonish Halloween video that has pictures of the players heads on dancing bodies, moving around to “Monster Mash”.

Yes, this video is a bit disturbing and if you are already scared of Dirk Nowitzki, this video is not for you.

I can make out a few players’ faces and it’s just not a pretty video. Sure, the Mavericks are making a video to be funny, but why scare children away? If you want young fans to root for the Mavs, why put these giant heads on creepy dancing bodies and why does Dirk have to be the absolute creepiest?

All jokes aside, the Mavs attempted a solid deed and I’m not sure if the players knew their faces were out there like this, but I can assure you they won’t be showing this video to their own children or even family members.

It would be pretty cool to see the players actually sing the song. Who wouldn’t want to hear Nowitzki sing “Monster Mash” in his thick German accent and dance around? What about Jose Calderon or Shawn Marion? Yeah, now that would be pretty awesome.

Maybe this is trying to scare people away from buying season tickets because the Mavs may have an even worse season than they did a year ago.

All in favor of having the Mavericks actually sing their own rendition of the song say “Dirk”.
