NBA 2K14 is Ridiculously Realistic, Depicts Missed High Fives and Embarrassment

It looks like NBA 2K14 might be one of the best basketball video games of all time. As a very realistic piece of art, video game lovers from around the world are raving about how great the game is and, of course, how realistic it is. The graphics seem to be extremely life-like and the game even captures some of the most awkward moments that happen in the NBA these days: the missed high five.

The missed high five is a realistic, modern-day disaster. No one wants to be that guy that misses a high five or gets denied by one and then attempts to complete the action when it’s too late. If you don’t know what I mean, just watch this:

As you can see, the player makes a free throw and tries to extend a high five to Anthony Davis. However, Davis doesn’t notice the gesture and walks back to the block and when he turns around and realizes he just denied his teammate of a high five, it’s too late to attempt to rekindle the missed hand-slap.

I’m not sure if this only happens to New Orleans Pelicans players in the game as a way to poke fun of their awful name and make everything they do just embarrassing and awful, but this is awesome. This could be a tiny addition from last year’s game, but it definitely is something that will have people playing and hoping the same happens to them.

Next year they need to add a Dwight Howard crying face, a signature Metta World Peace elbow to the face or a never-fail denied handshake between Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett.

Can’t wait until next year’s graphical additions.
