Odds are, if you watch television for more than a few hours, you’ll see a Shaquille O’Neal commercial. I find Shaq to be a very entertaining individual, but man, will he hock any product. I guess I don’t blame him. If someone floated a big fat check in front of my face to endorse their product, I’d probably do it. But of all the ads that Shaq has done, he’s yet to dabble in politics. That is, until now.
O’Neal, who was born in New Jersey, is apparently a big supporter of Governor Chris Christie. Here’s his new ad and message, which I’m sure he approves:
“I don’t support many politicians, but Chris Christie is different…. He’s a good man, excuse me, he’s a great man.”
When it comes to Shaq’s other business ventures these days, he recently became a part owner of the Sacramento Kings. For a franchise that was just voted the worst in the NBA, the legendary big man coming on board couldn’t have come at a better time. Shaq will bring a winning attitude with him and also a ton of basketball knowledge. He’s expected to work with big man DeMarcus Cousins, which is a must following the lucrative extension the team just gave him. We can all see the potential that Cousins has, it’s now just a matter of developing him. Shaq being a future hall-of-famer is the absolute perfect guy to give him some tutelage.
