What true sports fan doesn’t love a good minor league hockey game? Heck, even casual sports fans can get some enjoyment out of one many affordable hockey games around the county each week during the season. Fans that will be in attendance at this Saturday night’s game between the Toledo Walleye and Kalamazoo K-Wings, will be treated to a unique showing. Yes, the action on the ice will be entertaining as always, but the real spectacle will be the jerseys the players are wearing.

The Walleye and K-Wings are set to wear Star Wars themed jerseys for Saturday night’s showdown. The Walleye will wear Luke Skywalker’s X-wing fighter uniform, while the K-Wings will wear Darth Vader themed ‘Dark Side’ uniforms. So it will be a battle of good versus evil from Ohio on Saturday night.

Here’s a look at the unique jerseys:

Even though the original Star Wars movie came out way back in 1977, the series still seems to be as popular as ever. Even if you don’t consider yourself to be a sci-fi fan, you should still check out the original Star Wars trilogy. All three films have enough going on to entertain people that don’t get into the whole ‘let the force be with you’ thing. As for the newer trilogy that came out in the 2000’s, I can’t say that I recommend those films. I think you really have to be into the Star Wars universe to get some enjoyment out of them.
