There are always a few athletes that the media enjoys to pick on. One of them is the starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, Tony Romo.

Every time Romo throws an interception, it’s the biggest news since the government lockdown. Tony never asked for this attention, but that’s what the star on the helmet brings you. No one wants to talk about Romo when he is mistake-free or when he leads the Cowboys to a huge victory because that’s just boring. If Tony isn’t messing up on the field, then everyone could care less about him. Yet, a player like Tim Tebow gets talked about daily just because he’s on a team’s preseason roster.

Each one of these media members who seems to enjoy talking down Romo should attempt to live a day in his shoes. If they did that, then they would finally realize that not only is Tony a great quarterback, but he’s a great person overall.

Romo’s life isn’t just what he does on the field. The man is married and has a child, which is likely where a lot of the media members can relate.

Instead of trying to talk down his play, maybe everyone should actually sit back and enjoy his abilities while he’s still able to play at a high level.

Tony isn’t the type of person to come out and say it, but I’m sure he knows deep down that he’s better than just about everyone who criticizes him on a daily basis. If you don’t believe me, then here are 10 reasons why he’s a better person than you.
