Celebrities, Actors, Morons: Top 25 Most Infamous Sports Fans
Top 25 Most Infamous Sports Fans
Sports fans come in all shapes and sizes, all forms and fashion and just from all walks of life. Everyone out there loves sports and some love them far more than others. Some fans can be known as idiotic for their antics in the stands that sometimes affect the field of play. Others are famous celebrities, pop stars and actors.
I have compiled a list of the biggest moron fans, celebrity fans and just fans you might be sick of hearing about because of their prominent standing in society as being famous.
Every fan base has those kind of fans. If you are a fan of a team, you could probably name a couple celebrity fans that support your team. It's always good to know you have the support of a famous person on your side during game time. It's been well-documented that Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers games are usually riddled with celebrities and famous fans in the stands. You could probably go to a Lakers game and bump into a celebrity wherever you go in the Staples Center.
The New York Yankees also have a pretty celebrity-ridden fan base mainly because they are the most famous, and infamous, organization in baseball history -- maybe even in sports history.
When compiling this list, I came up with celebrities who have been widely publicized fans of a certain team, infamously support their team to know end, have dated players and changed their support from team to team or are fans of a team that would rather they not be fans of them.
Don't worry, I included a few other fans as well that aren't as famous and don't have the type of celebrity status as the others on this list -- but are still famous in their own regard.
Take a look at the 25 most infamous sports fans and let me know who I missed.
25. Stephen King
Stephen King has been known to cheer for the Boston Red Sox and has even mentioned them in a few of his suspenseful novels. However, he's got a pretty messed up horror-story-writing mind.
Born and raised in Detroit, Eminem has grown up as a lover of all things Detroit. The Pistons and Red Wings are two good examples of his favorite things from the city.
23. Will Smith
Will Smith is a big Philadelphia sports fan -- even if he is a big Hollywood, Calif., star. The song in his old TV show, Fresh Prince, wasn't lying when it said: "West Philadelphia born and raised". He even did Super Bowl 39 introductions for the Eagles in Philadelphia.
22. Filomena Tobias
This lady showed the classlessness of some Miami Heat fans as she stuck her middle finger out in Joakim Noah's face. She was also once accused of foul play in her husband's death years in 2007.
21. Cameron Diaz
Cameron Diaz has dated a few athletes in years past, no one more famous than Alex Rodriguez, who she fed popcorn to on live TV. Oh yeah, and she took in the Super Bowl, too.
20. Ashley Judd
Nowadays people can't stand the Kentucky Wildcats so famous fans probably won't make the most-liked list -- even if Ashley Judd seems like an extremely nice person.
Jay-Z has launched his own sports agency, Roc Nation Sports, and he is constantly in the news about his love for the Brooklyn Nets. His wife Beyonce and himself have been known to attend Nets games court side.
18. Vodka Samm
The mug shot tells it all. Vodka Samm is her Twitter name, or it was before she deleted it, and she was the fan who tried to run on the field during an Iowa Hawkeyes football game in the fall of 2013. That's not the bad part, she also blew a .341 on the breathalyzer after her arrest. It's almost a miracle that she's still living.
17. Ashton Kutcher
Ashton is known as a huge Bears fan and has even been caught talking to Jay Cutler on the sidelines. That image alone will make your blood curdle.
16. Wiz Khalifa
Khalifa's "Black and Yellow" song was actually dedicated to the city of Pittsburgh and its sports teams. It was basically used as the anthem for their football season after it was released -- now it's a bit of an annoying song.
15. Lady Gaga
There are not many images that can disturb a person more than seeing Lady Gaga in a Yankees jersey with little other clothing. Yikes.
Ah, the token Snooki appearance on an infamous list. She is, believe it or not, a big fan of the New York Mets and I'm sure Mets fans hate it.
13. Snoop Dogg
While his name has changed, everyone will always think of him as Snoop Dogg. His son plays football for USC and he has been known to show his support for the Trojans. As long as he stays out of legal trouble, that's okay with USC.
12. Adam Sandler
Many people find Adam Sandler quite annoying. Well, that's a New York fan for you. But in all seriousness, Sandler can just be imagined as one of the most obnoxious fans out there.
11. Lil Wayne
He raps about Skyler Diggins -- a women's basketball player -- in one of his songs and he rapped the song "Green and Yellow" to combat Khalifa's "Black and Yellow" in celebration of the Green Bay Packers' Super Bowl run.
WARNING: this video contains profanity.
Drake is a huge fan of Johnny Manziel -- bandwagon -- and a proud supporter of his hometown Toronto Raptors.
9. Will Ferrell
Will Ferrell is a huge USC Trojans football fan and it shouldn't surprise anyone that he is also on the Los Angeles Dodgers bandwagon -- even if he is from California. He seems to always be around sports and giving hilarious introductions are his thing.
8. Steve Bartman
Never before has a fan's life been ruined for something that had happened in the stands during a game. Meet Steve Bartman: the most hated fan in Chicago sports history.
7. Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian dated Reggie Bush and Kris Humphries. She is no longer with any of them so she is going to turn her fandom back to the Los Angeles Lakers and whichever team her sister's husband, Lamar Odom, is on -- even though that may be no teams ever again.
6. Spike Lee
Spike Lee is a crazy fan that has no problem voicing his input to opposing players and officials. Don't forget his run-in with Reggie Miller in the 1994 playoffs. There is no bigger New York Knicks fan than Spike.
5. Eva Longoria
There was one point in time where you wouldn't be able to watch a San Antonio Spurs game without Longoria appearing on TV. Now that Spurs guard Tony Parker and Longoria are divorced, it seems like she will now be cheering for the opponent of San Antonio every time.
4. Jack Nicholson
Seeing that creepy smile on the sidelines during Laker games is almost a staple in the Staples Center.
3. Barack Obama
Raised in Chicago, Obama has not been shy to show his love for all things Chicago. He even sent out a tweet the other night that welcomed Derrick Rose back to the NBA after being absent from the Bulls last year with a knee injury.
2. Miley Cyrus
What a horrifying sight. Nothing worse than Miley in a Michael Jordan jersey -- she almost makes me feel ashamed to be a fan of Michael.
1. Justin Bieber
Justin Bieber has to be one of the most annoying fans around. No, not just because he's Justin Bieber, but because he supports any team that wins a title. Call him the fair-weather fan of the year. Sports can't be that much fun when "your team" wins every year.
